Xperia Companion – Sony’s new PC software to manage your Xperia device


Sony Mobile recently launched “Xperia Companion”, which is a new program for your PC to help manage your Sony Xperia device. The Windows program allows you to browse your phone, install new software or to clean reset your handset. If you’re wondering how this any different to Sony’s existing “PC Companion”, we’re not sure we can help.
It appears to offer the same functionality as PC Companion with a different user interface. So far, not every Sony Xperia device is compatible with Xperia Companion, but we imagine will over time move this new program completely. For now, we found most of the recent models to be compatible including the Z5 series, Z3+/Z4 Tablet and Z3 series. If you want to give it a try, the download link can be found below.


Xperia Companion software can be downloaded here. It is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10. If you are still running Windows XP you will need to keep using PC Companion. The installation process is straightforward, allowing you to choose from a variety of languages

How to Add Recent Posts Widget to Blogger

This tutorial is for you if you are using one of my template.
1. To add recent posts widget for your blogger blog, first go to "Layout" of your blog.
2. Click on "Add a Gadget" link from sidebar section or other where you want to display recent post widget.
3. Select "HTML/JavaScript" widget.
4. Now enter below code into that "HTML/JavaScript" widget.

<script>var numposts =5; var showpostdate = false; var showpostsummary = false; var numchars = 100; </script>
<script src="http://YOURBLOGNAME.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=published&alt=json-in-script&callback=rp">

Note: Remember to replace "http://YOURBLOGNAME.blogspot.com/" with your blog address or any blogger blog address.
Also you can change these values:
How many posts should be included in recent posts widget? Default is 5.

numposts =5;

Posted date should be displayed or not? true or false.

showpostdate = false;

Post summary should be displayed or not? true or false.

showpostsummary = false;

How many characters should be displayed in post summary? Default is 100.

numchars = 100;

5. Click save and refresh your site. Now you can see recent posts widget is working on your site.

Still not showing recent posts? Then add below code just above </head> tag:

When you install a Blogger template of mine, your posts will start to display as summaries on homepage, label pages, archive pages and search pages. To view full content of a post, need to go to that post page. If you don't want to display post summaries like this, follow the steps in this tutorial to remove blogger auto read more feature.
First go to "Edit HTML" page of your blog.
Find this code in your template (It can be different according to the template you are using) :
